Browsing Posts in Celebrities

I think all of those gossip news sites are great. It’s nice to be able to fantasize about the stars from the comfort of my own home without causing any reckless harm to them like some of the reporters out there do. I can’t imagine being a celebrity having a microphone and a camera shoved in my face twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. However, gossip is relatively harmless and much of it is fabricated anyway. I know that it’s just for a lark, and when you’re just getting a kick out of it, not finding any real truth in it, then again, it’s not hurting anybody. I’m sure that superstars know that they can’t avoid people talking about them, and especially if you’re a performer, you have to build up a rough skin anyway. So that’s how I justify it; I would never write them or call them to touch on any of these issues that I read in the columns or on the websites because that’s just an invasion of privacy. But I can enjoy them privately.

Michael Jackson was a much-loved entertainer who gave his all. On stage he was a superstar of the highest order. Off stage his life was more private and the subject of much controversy. Whichever way you look at it, he was a musical legend. While it is now over a year since he died there are still people remembering and commemorating Michael in different ways. Some people remember him by wearing a Michael Jackson t-shirt while others hold parties or put on special tribute concerts. The interesting thing is to wonder what made him so unique. Partly it was his dancing. He had such a unique style that people wanted to copy and emulate him. He had a strong personal brand too. You can recognize a Michael Jackson pose or logo from a thousand paces. I think mostly it was his music though. He was the last of a dying breed of musicians who are simply classic artists, able to speak directly to an audience both young and old. One thing is true, he will be very much missed by millions of people across the world.
